The game featured is a typical game against the Flyers of that... era. Full of bad blood and cheap shots. The fracas begins when Flyers Bob Hoffmeyer pearl harbors Carol Vadnais after a Bill Barber goal on Ranger Goalie Steve Weeks.. A fight breaks out between Ranger Defenseman Tom Laidlaw and Flyers Greg Adams. Ranger enforcer Ed Hospodar no stranger to underhandedness pops 40 goal scorer Bill Barber with a cheap shot in retribution for the Hoffmeyer offense against vadnais to the delight of the MSG crowd..
